Australians are being invited to give their input into the future of how government services are operated in this country. The Albanese Labor Government has embarked on creating a new Long-term Insights Briefing on The Future of government services: Aligning work with Australian communities.
While the current approach to administering government services and support performs well at providing a universal offering to all citizens and communities, it does not distinguish between communities and places, particularly those which are diverse, disadvantaged or remote.
The Long-term Insights Briefing will explore how government services can be designed and delivered differently into the future.
Minister for the Public Service, Senator the Hon. Katy Gallagher said "We want to hear from different communities about the challenges they face and how they would like to interact and work with government to ensure services meet their needs.”
The survey is now open to anyone living in Australia and will close on Sunday, 1 September 2024.
